A rare and handsome example of a Rolex 'Precision' model in stainless steel. This is a very classic Rolex watch, but the beauty comes in its simplicity. The unusual element to this watch, that lifts it from the standard and fairly common 'Precision' models, are the scrolled lugs. This variation of case 'adornment' is not commonly seen on steel case watches. The movement is a classic Rolex, manual wind 10-1/2"' Hunter Precision, 17 jewel with the Patented Superbalance. The inside case is fully signed, still showing the Rolex coronet on the outside, and has model reference number 4561, and serial number 487xxx stamped beneath. The watch dates circa 1950 and is in good, original condition throughout. The dial is original and unrestored, showing a great patina. The hands are original Rolex dagger hands to the watch, with the seconds hand in an eye catching blued steel. The case is sharp and unpolished, but is showing some pitting to the case back, as can be seen in the images. The case measures 33mm x 41.5mm.
